Do you ever try literary foods? My kids lov Do you ever try literary foods?

My kids love Turkish delight (yes, I know they are the only ones), but I've generally been disappointed when I've tried bookish foods. But that doesn't keep me from trying again!

THE TRUMPET OF THE SWAN is the book that made me a reader. I think I read it in third grade, and it hooked me on books. And I've never forgotten Lois ordering watercress sandwiches and then only eating the watercress. So when I saw watercress as an option in our weekly food box, I knew we had to try it.

Verdict: watercress is swan food.

What bookish foods have you tried? Did you like them?
